根據美國媒體『』的報導，小熊隊鎖定台灣青棒投手宋文華，宋文華是否會繼曾仁和之後，加入小熊隊，將是注目的焦點。

宋文華今年自平鎮高中畢業，是2013年18U世界青棒賽的國手，他的球速可達150公里以上，是名相當受到矚目的新生代投手，美國大聯盟很多球隊都對他感到興趣，有消息指出，小熊隊出價超過100萬美元要簽宋文華，近日內應可確定。

一般認為，曾仁和的變化球是以曲球為主，宋文華則以滑球為武器，宋文華的身材條件甚至優於曾仁和。
